Free or Reduced Lunch Discount

This applies to CRCSD students only! - Read all the information

Please contact us before registering for the course. You must share the student's name and indicate whether you are requesting a FULL or PARTIAL waiver of fees.

This discount is only available for the full-instruction driver's education program. It is NOT available for the Parent Assist Program.

  1. Contact Us - We will contact CRCSD to check the status of your free or reduced lunch. 
  2. Once Approved - We will contact you to register for the course of your choice. If NOT approved, you must contact the school district to share this information with him.

If you qualify for free lunch and attend any school in the Cedar Rapids Community School District, you will be eligible for a $435.00 waiver. 

You will be required to pay $263.00 to take driver's education with Safe Driver Driver's Education. This payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Payment plans are available if you elect to pay the full course fee.

An application for free and reduced lunch must be on file with the Cedar Rapids Community School District.  

  • IMPORTANT: You must request that your student's free and reduced lunch status be shared with Safe Driver Drivers Education. If this is not done, you may lose your spot in the class.
